Each room at MUZE has its own unique character

The rooms at MUZE are not the usual kind of hotel room. Each room has its own distinct character and style, with a wink to one of Utrecht’s many museums. You will sleep peacefully in our comfortable beds, and feel inspired by the interior, colours and details of our rooms.

Unusual for such an old building, but one of the comforts of staying at MUZE: the presence of an elevator. The elevator brings you and your heavy luggage from the ground floor up to the second floor. The third floor is accessible via the staircase.

Each room includes:

Coupé

Experience the sense of sleeping in a super-deluxe train coupé, when sleeping in this cosy room decorated in the style of Utrecht’s famous Railway Museum. The room breaths a unique Art Deco atmosphere and is situated on the ground floor of the hotel, overlooking the garden. You’ll find coffee and tea available in the room.

Science

This spacious room is inspired by the University Museum Utrecht. The original mantelpiece and ceiling ornaments are still in place and remind you of the history of this building. The room is situated on the garden-side of the hotel and includes a private balcony where you can catch the morning sun.

Flora

Sky

Wrap yourself in a slice of heaven in our spacious and light attic room at the top of the hotel. This room is based upon Sonneborgh, the museum and observatory only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. This room also has an extra single bed for a 3rd person. Use the telescope to explore the Utrecht sky from your bedroom window!

Please note: Due to the building’s monumental character, the elevator reaches the second floor. From there, via one additional stair you will enter this special attic room.
